Chinese e-commerce company Temu and its parent companies committed rampant violations of Arkansas’ consumer privacy law, state Attorney General Tim Griffin (R) alleges in a new lawsuit.
The complaint, filed Tuesday in the Cleburne County Circuit Court, accuses the Temu app and website of violating the state’s Personal Information Protection Act by collecting “a shocking amount” user data, including location and biometric information, that can be used to steal and exploit private data from a user’s device.
